| Country coverage | Covers the Republic of the Congo, including Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire where the listed operator's network reaches. The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kinshasa are not included. |
| Local networks | Airtel Congo Rep |
| Network technology | Connects to 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed on this plan. |
| Data & validity | 1 GB for 7 days, or 3, 5, 10 and 20 GB for 30 days. Each is a fixed total allowance. There is no option for 1 day or one day, and no option for 14 days, so a stay of 2 weeks needs a 30-day plan. |
| Calls & SMS | Data only. No local phone number, standard calls or SMS, so use internet calling and messaging apps. The data connection is the only service included; these features don't cover calls or texts. |
| Hotspot | The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. |
| Your phone | You need an eSIM-compatible, network-unlocked phone. Check your exact model and regional variant; an eSIM card only works where the device supports it. |

Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
How do I pick the right plan for my trip?
Start by comparing pricing across the data plans. The 1 GB option for 7 days is the cheapest entry at €3.69, but not automatically the best value if you'll stream or use a data hotspot. Past a week, the 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB and 20 GB options all run 30 days. There's no single best price or best coverage for every trip, and what's affordable depends on your whole trip cost, so match the allowance to your expected use and lean on Wi-Fi for large downloads.
What network and mobile technology does this plan use?
Listed networks: Airtel Congo Rep. Connects to 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed on this plan. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Does my phone work with this eSIM?
Your specific phone model needs eSIM support and must not be carrier locked, and regional variants can differ. An eSIM is a virtual SIM card built into the phone. On iPhone, look for Add eSIM in mobile settings and No SIM Restrictions under Settings, General, About. The compatibility guide lists compatible phones and the device-maker steps for Android and iOS.
When do I install it, and when does the countdown start?
Install over reliable Wi-Fi before you travel to the Republic of the Congo and keep the instructions offline. Then follow the activation steps that came with your plan, whether they use a QR code or the carrier's app, because installing the profile and starting its validity are not necessarily the same step. Don't read 'instant installation' as a speed promise; the download still needs a working connection.
Does the plan include calls, SMS or a local number?
These plans are data only. You get no local number and no standard calls or SMS, so WhatsApp and other internet messaging accounts run over the data connection instead. SMS verification still depends on whichever line receives that code, so check your home carrier's charges before leaving it switched on.
Can I tether a laptop to the phone?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Anything you connect to the data hotspot draws from the same total allowance as the phone. Switch off automatic cloud backups and large software updates before tethering.
Does the plan work in the neighbouring country?
Only the Republic of the Congo, including Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire where the network reaches. The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kinshasa are not covered. Check the included-country list for a separate onward plan, because an operator's name does not extend this coverage.
Does the data refresh every day?
No. You get a fixed total of 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 GB for the stated validity, and neither a new day nor moving between cities adds more. When planning a longer stay, check both your remaining data and remaining validity.
What if I run out or my stay gets longer?
Look at another available plan before your current allowance or validity runs out, then follow that purchase's instructions. Don't assume it extends your existing profile, carries over unused data or works as a top up.
What do I check if there's no internet?
First confirm you're in the Republic of the Congo, the travel line is switched on and set for data, and the plan still has data and validity left. Apply the supplied roaming and APN settings, then briefly toggle airplane mode or restart the phone. If reception is weak, try another spot. Keep the profile installed while you get help, with your order reference, phone model and location ready.
How do I stop my home SIM from roaming?
Set the travel eSIM as your mobile data line, turn off automatic data switching and keep data roaming off on your regular SIM. Apply any travel-line roaming setting to that line only. Calls and texts on your home number still fall under your home carrier's charges.
Can I get help or ask for a refund?
Keep your order reference and setup instructions when you ask for help. Whether a refund is possible depends on the purchase conditions and on whether the plan has been activated or used, so read those conditions before buying. People often search for a 'no contract' travel eSIM, but that's a search term, not a confirmed seller policy. Leave the profile installed while a connection issue is looked into.
Using your eSIM in the Republic of the Congo
A prepaid eSIM for the Republic of the Congo
For Brazzaville meetings, a Pointe-Noire coastal stay or a trip to see family, one country data plan can hold your directions and booking messages for the whole visit. You buy these plans online before you leave. This is the Republic of the Congo, often called Congo-Brazzaville, and it is a separate destination from the Democratic Republic of the Congo across the river.
PikoeSIM offers five fixed plans for this country. The 1 GB plan runs 7 days for €3.69 and suits light messaging and maps if you lean on Wi-Fi for bigger downloads, or stream on YouTube only sparingly. For a longer stay, 3 GB costs €10.69 and 5 GB costs €17.69, each for 30 days. The 10 GB and 20 GB options, at €35.09 and €69.99, give more room over the same 30 days. These are fixed total allowances, not daily refills. Note that 30 days is not always the same as one month on the calendar, and these are not monthly subscriptions.
Plan beyond the next connection.
A Brazzaville plan won't cover Kinshasa on the far bank. Inside the included country, you'll connect on 4G/LTE where available, since 5G is not confirmed on this plan, and signal quality varies with location, buildings and network conditions. Download your onward itinerary while you still have a reliable connection.
Details to hand.Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo
Brazzaville: sort the airport pickup first.
Maya-Maya is Brazzaville's airport, and its taxi page notes there is no dedicated taxi rank or queue. That makes it worth arranging a clear pickup with your host or driver and confirming the meeting point before you land. Keep their written instructions ready as you leave the terminal.
The embassy's visitor guide points to the Poto-Poto painting school and the central Plateau Ville area. Use data to check an address and arrange a visit or meeting, then save the return point. A specific entrance helps a driver far more than a broad neighbourhood name.
If Kinshasa is also on your itinerary, check your country bookings carefully. The two cities face each other across the Congo River, but this eSIM only includes the Republic of the Congo. Arrange separate coverage before crossing into the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Save before you goPickup instructions, your hotel entrance, the meeting address and any separate onward-country booking.
Pointe-Noire: keep the work and hotel pins apart.
Pointe-Noire is the country's economic centre on the Atlantic coast. If you're travelling for work, ask your contact for the actual visitor entrance and appointment details. Save your hotel as a separate pin so a forwarded office address doesn't become the driver's drop-off after a long journey.
The embassy's visitor guide also lists the city's beaches. Before heading out, agree the collection point and keep it offline. Confirm any change of plan by message while you still have reception, rather than assuming a shared live location will be enough.
One country plan can cover both Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire where the listed network is available. Pick a validity that spans the whole stay, and budget for work attachments or data hotspot use on top of directions. There's no extra coastal allowance.
Save before you goYour appointment, visitor entrance, hotel pin and the agreed return collection point.
