Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
Which Uzbekistan eSIM plan should I pick?
Match the data plans to your trip length and how much you'll actually do online. The 100 MB seven-day plan is the cheapest listed option, but it only covers fetching a booking or sending an arrival message. For several cities, 3 GB over 15 days at €1.90 and 3 GB over 30 days at €1.90 share one price, so the pricing favors the longer window. We won't call any plan the best value or best price without your usage, and best coverage can't be promised everywhere. Recommendations only help once you know your data needs; affordable depends on total trip cost.
Which network does the Uzbekistan eSIM use?
Listed networks: Beeline Uzbekistan. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Will my phone work with this eSIM?
Check that your exact phone model supports eSIM and is network unlocked; regional variants differ, so verify compatible phones against your exact model. On an iPhone, look for Add eSIM in cellular settings and No SIM restrictions under Settings, General, About. Android varies by manufacturer, so confirm your model's eSIM features and support on the maker's site. The compatibility guide links to manufacturer instructions for both iOS and Android phones.
When should I install and activate the eSIM?
Install over steady Wi-Fi and keep the setup instructions with you before you travel. The esim card is a digital profile, not a physical SIM. Follow the supplied method, such as scanning a QR code or using the provider's app, for activation and the start of validity; installing alone doesn't decide when your plan begins. On arrival in Uzbekistan, select the travel line for mobile data.
Can I keep my usual number for messages and calls?
Your existing WhatsApp, YouTube and other messaging or streaming accounts run over this data connection, so you keep those conversations and feeds. The plan doesn't provide a local phone number or ordinary voice calls and SMS. Bank verification texts still rely on your regular SIM and home carrier, including whatever roaming charges that carrier applies.
Can I share the connection with a laptop or tablet?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Every device you use for tethering draws from the same data allowance. Turn off automatic backups and system updates if you want to keep that data for travel tasks, since the data hotspot shares one pool.
Is the data unlimited or reset daily?
These are fixed total allowances, not unlimited data, and usage doesn't reset each day. A stop of one day still needs a plan that covers your whole trip, since the shortest listed window is 7 days; there's no 1 day package to buy. A trip of 14 days, about 2 weeks on vacation, fits the 15-day plan, and a 30-day plan suits roughly one month, though 30 days isn't always the same as one calendar month. Choose validity to match your itinerary and data to match your use.
Will it work outside Uzbekistan?
These offers cover Uzbekistan only. Don't assume a neighbouring destination, an international transit stop or a ship or aircraft connection is included. Check the country list on any separate plan you buy for the onward part of your trip.
What should I check if mobile data won't connect?
Check you're in Uzbekistan, the eSIM is enabled and chosen for data, and the plan still has data and validity left. Apply any roaming and APN settings supplied for that line, then toggle airplane mode briefly or restart the phone. Move if signal quality or service is poor. Keep the eSIM installed while you ask support for help, since internet access depends on the right line being active and your phone's network features.
How do I stop my home SIM from using data?
Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data, turn off automatic data switching and keep data roaming off on your home SIM. Apply any roaming setting the travel eSIM needs only to that line. Calls or texts on your usual number can still bring home-carrier charges.
Can I extend the plan or get a refund?
Check the options and purchase conditions that come with your order for top up amounts, extensions and refunds. If you buy a separate new plan it doesn't automatically extend the old one or carry unused data forward, and there's no monthly subscription built into these prices. No contract is a search phrase, not a confirmed seller policy, so read the purchase terms yourself. Keep your order reference, device model and installation details ready when contacting support.
Using your eSIM in Uzbekistan
An Uzbekistan eSIM for your route
Between a Tashkent arrival and a Samarkand walk, you'll use mobile data for train bookings, hotel messages and directions. An eSIM works like a virtual SIM card: you load it digitally onto a compatible phone before you travel, then follow the setup instructions that came with it.
The 100 MB and 500 MB seven-day plans are for very light use, like pulling up a booking or sending an arrival message. If you're crossing several cities, 3 GB over 15 days at €1.90 leaves room for maps and train searches, while 10 GB over 30 days at €5.89 gives space for photo uploads. None of these reset each day.
Check the connection, then save the route.
Listed networks: Beeline Uzbekistan. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions. Signal quality varies with your phone, location and the network operator's coverage, so download bookings and routes before long transfers or rural stretches. A single-country plan doesn't promise unbroken reception, and 4G or 5G depends on where you are.

Your own pace.Registan, Samarkand
Tashkent: save the station printed on your ticket.
After you land at the airport in Tashkent, pull up your accommodation address and settle a pickup point. Save the entrance as well as the street name; showing a driver a confirmed pin beats searching again at the curb.
For the onward leg to Samarkand or Bukhara, check train options for your date before you travel. Read the departure station, train and passenger details from the ticket itself rather than a generic city search.
Store the booking and any collection instructions offline before you leave your room. Mobile data lets you check the booking online; it doesn't include a rail ticket or replace the boarding rules supplied with it.
Save before you goYour hotel entrance, rail ticket, departure station and any ID or collection instructions that came with the booking.
Samarkand: split the station transfer from the walk.
Registan is the main square of Samarkand and includes the Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tilla-Kari madrasas. Before visiting, work out the transfer from your arrival station to your accommodation, then message your host with your arrival time and ask where a driver can drop you nearest the entrance.
Use an offline map to link Registan to the rest of your stops. Check current tourist information for any monument you plan to enter; a pin helps with directions but isn't proof of hours or admission.
Hold a meeting pin for your group and upload a few photos as you go. Save full-resolution backups for Wi-Fi if you're on one of the smaller plans.
Save before you goYour accommodation entrance, the return pickup point and a map of the stops you plan to visit.
Bukhara: keep the next departure close at hand.
For a Bukhara stay, ask your accommodation for the final approach to its door. A booking in the historic centre may still need a separate transfer from where you arrive, so settle the destination with your driver first.
Heading on to Samarkand or Tashkent, check current train availability and save your chosen departure with its station details. Tourism itineraries group these cities, but your own ticket decides which service you can board.
Store your hotel thread and the return transfer details offline. A data-only plan runs messaging apps but can't receive a verification code sent to a new local mobile number.
Save before you goYour guesthouse instructions, the next train booking and the agreed station transfer.
