Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
How should I choose between the three plans?
Match the plan to your actual use, not just the price. The 250 MB plan runs 7 days at €15.39 and the 500 MB plan runs 15 days at €30.49; both suit occasional messages and booking checks better than video. The 1 GB plan runs 30 days at €60.69, which is longer validity, not a bigger monthly bundle. The cheapest option isn't automatically the best value, and there's no single best price for everyone, so base your recommendations on how much data you'll use. Compare the three data options and remember that whether a plan feels affordable depends on your total trip cost.
Which network does the eSIM connect to in Cameroon?
Listed networks: MTN Cameroon. Connects to 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed on this plan. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Is my phone compatible with this eSIM?
Use an eSIM-capable, network-unlocked phone and check the exact model and sales region, not just the product family. On an iPhone you'll need XS or later and can look for Add eSIM under Cellular; Android devices vary, so follow your manufacturer's eSIM setup steps. The compatibility guide links to those instructions.
When is the best time to install and activate?
Install over reliable Wi-Fi and save the setup instructions before you travel. Installing the profile and activating its allowance are not necessarily the same step, so follow your plan's instructions to see when validity begins. Don't treat 'instant installation' as a speed promise. In Cameroon, enable the travel line and select it for mobile data.
Does it include regular calls or SMS?
No. These plans provide an internet data service only, with no local phone number, standard calls or SMS. WhatsApp and other internet-calling apps can use the data connection instead, but bank verification texts still rely on your regular SIM and home carrier. Check any roaming charges on that line before you travel.
Can I use the data on my laptop via hotspot?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Tethering a laptop draws from the same allowance, and every connected device shares it. Pause laptop updates and cloud backups before you turn on the data hotspot, especially on the smaller plans.
Does my data allowance reset each day?
No. Each allowance is a fixed total for its validity period, not a daily amount or an unlimited plan. Whether you need 1 day of data or a stay that runs one day past the validity, match both the data and the number of days to your trip and monitor use in your device settings.
Will this plan work outside Cameroon?
No. These offers include Cameroon only. Buy separate coverage for any onward country or transit stop, because the operator's name doesn't extend the plan's included territory.
What if I run out of data or need extra days?
Choose another available plan and read its installation instructions before you buy. Don't assume it extends your current allowance, carries unused data forward or reuses the installed profile. Only top up an existing profile when your order explicitly offers that, and don't treat 'no contract' as a guarantee: read the purchase terms first.
What should I do if I have no connection?
Confirm you're in Cameroon, the eSIM is enabled and selected for mobile data, and the plan still has data and days left. Apply the supplied APN and data-roaming settings to the travel line, then toggle airplane mode or restart the phone. If reception quality is still poor, try another location and keep the eSIM installed while you troubleshoot.
How do I stop my home SIM from using roaming data?
Select the travel eSIM for mobile data, disable automatic data switching and turn data roaming off on the home line. Any roaming setting the travel eSIM needs applies only to that line. Calls and texts on your home SIM can still run up charges, so leave that line for emergencies only.
What are the support and refund policies?
Keep your order reference, phone model and installation details handy when you ask for help. Check the purchase conditions for support contact methods and refund eligibility before buying, since activation or data use may affect what you're owed. Don't delete the profile while a connection issue is being investigated.
