Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
How do I choose the right plan for my Curaçao trip?
For light maps and messages, 1 GB for 7 days at €12.49 is a sensible start. There is no 1 day plan, so a visit of one day still buys the same 7-day window. There is no plan valid for 14 days, so a trip of 2 weeks needs a 15-day option. The 3 GB options cost the same for 7, 15 or 30 days, so the longer windows are the best value among these offers. For photo sharing or a data hotspot, compare 5 GB, 10 GB and 20 GB. YouTube and video backups use far more data than directions, so recommendations should follow your actual use.
What network does my eSIM run on?
Listed networks: Digicel Curaçao. Connects to 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed on this plan. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Where can I use this plan?
Only within Curaçao. A Caribbean itinerary or a shared operator name doesn't extend this plan to other islands or countries.
Does it work on a ferry or cruise ship?
Use it where the supported local mobile network reaches. It doesn't include a ship's Wi-Fi or satellite connection, and offshore reception isn't guaranteed. Download tickets and send pickup messages before you board.
Is my phone compatible with this eSIM?
Your phone must support eSIM, and this eSIM card is a virtual sim card you add to a network-unlocked device. Check your exact model and regional variant against the compatible phones in the compatibility guide. On iPhone (iOS), open Settings, General, About and confirm "No SIM Restrictions" appears next to Carrier Lock. On Android, verify eSIM support with the manufacturer for your model.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install on a reliable Wi-Fi connection and keep the setup instructions saved. Use the supplied QR code or app steps, and follow the plan's instructions for activation; the start of validity depends on those instructions, not necessarily on adding the profile. On arrival, select the travel eSIM as your mobile data line.
Do I get a local number, calls and SMS?
These are data-only plans with no local phone number, standard calls or SMS. Apps such as WhatsApp can still send messages over the internet connection. Bank verification texts rely on your regular SIM and carrier, so check that line's roaming charges if you leave it switched on.
Can I use my laptop with this data?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Tethering to a laptop draws from the same fixed allowance as your phone, so reserve large downloads and cloud backups for Wi-Fi.
Does my data reset each day?
No. Each plan is a fixed total allowance for its stated validity, not a daily allocation or unlimited service. A 30-day option is one month of coverage, but 30 days isn't always a calendar month and this isn't a monthly subscription. Compare the data size and the number of days before you buy.
What if I run out of data?
Check the options supplied with your order before you top up. A separate purchase doesn't automatically extend the current plan, reuse its profile or carry forward unused data. Keep the installed eSIM while you check the next steps.
What should I check when there's no internet?
Make sure the travel line is enabled and selected for mobile data, and that the allowance and validity are still in place. Follow the supplied APN and roaming instructions, then briefly toggle airplane mode or restart. Move elsewhere if the signal is weak; connection quality varies by location. Keep the profile installed and have your order reference, phone model and location ready when you ask for help.
How do I stop my regular SIM from roaming?
Turn off automatic mobile-data switching and disable data roaming on your regular SIM. Apply any required roaming setting only to the travel line. Calls or texts on the regular SIM still carry your home carrier's charges, since this is a data-only service.
