Democratic Republic of the Congo 5GB eSIM

For a short holiday with light use, the 1 GB plan valid for 7 days at €3.69 is the cheapest prepaid option, but that only helps if 7 days covers your whole vacation and you do not need a local phone number. If your trip runs 14 days or a full one month, compare the other data plans: the available options are 3, 5, 10 or 20 GB, each lasting 30 days. The best value depends on your habits: heavy YouTube or video calls need more data, so treat these offers as a guide and keep large downloads on Wi-Fi. For families and tourists, recommendations shift toward larger 30-day plans because they spread the price over more days and include more features like hotspot use. An affordable choice is to buy online before you arrive at the airport, but check that your phone is on the list of compatible phones.

Listed networks: ZAIN Congo RDC. Connects to 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed on this plan. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions. The operator for these data plans is ZAIN Congo RDC, which provides 4G/LTE where available. 5G is not confirmed, so do not expect 5G speeds. Network quality and service vary by location, and there is no roaming outside the country. Pricing is per plan, not a recurring monthly charge.

Your phone must be on the list of compatible phones and be network unlocked. Regional variants can differ even within the same model. On an iPhone, look for Add eSIM in mobile settings and No SIM restrictions under Settings, General, About. For Android, check the device maker's compatibility guide online; iOS and Android setup steps vary by model and software version.

Install over reliable Wi-Fi before you travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and do not count on any 'instant installation' promise: setup takes as long as your QR code and phone need. Installing the profile and starting validity are not necessarily the same step, so it will not automatically activate after one day. Follow the activation instructions supplied with your plan and keep them offline before selecting the travel line for data. You can buy online before arriving at the airport.

This eSIM card is a virtual sim card with data only. There is no local phone number, standard calls or SMS. Your existing WhatsApp and other online messaging accounts that need internet can use the data connection. SMS verification still depends on the line receiving the code, so check your home carrier's charges before keeping it switched on.

The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Disable automatic cloud backups and large software updates before tethering, since a laptop data hotspot drains the same allowance faster.

This plan is valid solely in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, not in the Republic of the Congo (including Brazzaville). For any onward travel, verify the separate plan's country list; having the same operator name does not grant coverage elsewhere.

No. You get a fixed total of 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 GB for the stated validity, and it is not a monthly subscription. The allowance does not reset after 1 day, and it is the same after one day or one week; moving between cities does not refill it. These plan features are fixed totals, so watch both remaining data and remaining days when you plan a longer visit.

If your visit stretches to 2 weeks or more, compare another prepaid plan before your current allowance or validity runs out. Follow the new purchase's instructions for a separate eSIM card. Do not assume it extends your existing profile, carries over unused data or lets you top up; top up terms are not confirmed, so treat a new buy as a fresh plan among the available options and offers.

Confirm you are in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the travel line is enabled and selected for data, and the plan still has data and validity left. Apply the supplied roaming and APN settings, then briefly toggle airplane mode or restart the phone. Signal quality and service vary by location, so try another spot if reception is weak, and keep the profile installed while you seek help with your order reference, phone model and location.

Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data, turn off automatic data switching and keep data roaming off on your regular SIM. Apply any required travel-line roaming setting only to that line. Calls and texts on your home number still follow your home carrier's charges.

Keep the order reference and setup instructions when you contact the support service. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase conditions and whether the plan has been activated or used. Neither a 'best price' nor a 'best coverage' claim is supported here, and 'no contract' is a search phrase rather than a confirmed seller policy, so read those conditions before you buy. This eSIM card's pricing is fixed per plan; keep the installed profile while a connection issue is investigated.
