Italy 50GB eSIM

Compare these data plans by total pricing in EUR, not just the allowance. A light tourist with Wi-Fi at night may find the 1 GB plan for 7 days at €0.33 is the cheapest option, but 3 GB gives more room for maps and media. On a longer rail holiday, the 10 GB package for 30 days at €4.72 is a safer fit, and 20 GB or 50 GB suits a family sharing a hotspot. Tethering spends the same allowance, so the best price on paper is not always the best value if you run out before the end of your trip.

Listed networks: Vodafone Italy, Iliad Italy. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.

Compatible phones must support eSIM on your exact model and regional variant, and the device must be network unlocked. On iPhone, Settings > General > About shows "No SIM Restrictions" when unlocked. Check the compatibility guide for Android and iOS steps; a recent model name alone does not prove support.

Install over stable Wi-Fi before you leave. This is a virtual sim card downloaded to your phone, and it may arrive as a QR code or an app link; follow whichever the supplier sends. Installation and activation are separate, so the validity clock starts according to the plan's steps, not the moment you install. There is no guarantee of instant installation, since the download speed depends on your Wi-Fi and device.

No. These are data-only plans with no local phone number and no ordinary calls or SMS. Apps such as WhatsApp use the data connection, while bank codes sent by SMS still depend on your regular SIM, carrier and bank.

The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Anything you connect through the data hotspot spends the same total allowance, so set system downloads and backups to Wi-Fi if you want to preserve data for travel tasks.

The plan works only within Italy, with country code ITA. San Marino and Vatican City are not separate included zones, so treat any data use there as outside coverage, and the same caution applies to border crossings or a maritime network while on a ferry.

No. Each plan holds the total data shown for its validity, shared across all apps and hotspot devices, with no daily reset. A small allowance can vanish on a single YouTube stream, so choose a duration that covers your last day of travel.

Check the options shown with your order before you top up. A separate purchase does not automatically extend an existing plan or carry its balance across. Follow the steps for that purchase and keep the installed profile unless support advises otherwise.

Confirm you are in Italy, the travel line is enabled and set for mobile data, and the plan still has data and days remaining. Apply the supplied APN and roaming settings to that line, then try airplane mode or a restart. Move somewhere with better reception if the signal is weak, and keep your eSIM card installed while you contact support with your model, location and order reference.

Turn off data roaming on your regular SIM and disable automatic mobile-data switching. Use the travel eSIM as the data line and apply any roaming setting only to it. Your home carrier can still charge for calls and texts if that SIM stays enabled.

Keep your order reference and setup details when you contact support through the channel included with your purchase. Check the online purchase conditions for refund eligibility, including any activation or usage limits. Refund and support terms are not confirmed in this preview, so confirm them before you rely on them; looking for a plan with no contract is reasonable, but read the actual terms rather than assuming. Keep the eSIM installed while a connection problem is investigated.
