Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
Is my phone compatible with a Libya eSIM?
Your phone has to support eSIM and be network unlocked. Check the exact model and sales region, because versions of the same phone can differ. On iOS, open Settings and review Apple's eSIM guidance before you buy; on Android, check eSIM support in your network settings. Apple eSIM setup (opens in a new tab).
When do I need to install and activate this travel eSIM?
Install the profile over reliable Wi-Fi and keep the instructions offline. Follow the activation conditions that come with your plan, because installing the profile and starting the validity countdown are not necessarily the same step. Treat 'instant installation' as digital delivery of the profile, not a speed guarantee. Choose the travel line for mobile data when you're ready to go online in Libya.
What network and speeds are available with this plan?
Listed networks: Al Madar Al Jadeed. Which network technology is available isn't confirmed for this plan. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Can I use my laptop as a hotspot with this eSIM?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Tethering draws from the same allowance as the phone. Turn off system updates and cloud backups before you connect a laptop through the data hotspot.
Will I still receive messages to my regular number?
You can keep an existing messaging-app account and route its traffic through the travel eSIM. Standard calls and SMS still rely on your regular SIM and home carrier. This data-only plan adds no local phone number, so it cannot receive bank verification texts by itself.
Is the data allowance renewed daily?
No. Each listed amount is the total for its stated validity, and there is no plan valid for one day and no daily reset. Thirty days is not necessarily one month, and it is not a monthly subscription. Your phone and any tethered devices pull from the same pool, so use Wi-Fi for big downloads to keep data for directions and messages.
Can I use this eSIM outside Libya?
These plans cover Libya only. Buy separate coverage for any other country on your route, including transit stops. Inside Libya, service still depends on the listed network reaching your location.
What should I try if I have no internet connection?
Check you're in Libya, the travel line is on and selected for data, and the plan still has data and validity left. Follow the roaming and APN settings that came with the plan. Toggle airplane mode briefly or restart the phone, then contact support with your order reference and device model if nothing returns. Keep the profile installed while it's checked.
How can I avoid roaming charges on my home SIM?
Set the travel eSIM as your mobile data line, disable automatic data switching and turn off data roaming on the regular SIM. If the travel profile needs roaming, enable it only on that line. Your home carrier's terms still govern calls and texts.
Is it possible to extend the plan or request a refund?
Check the pricing and the full list of options before you order, and compare which plan gives the best value for your expected data use. Read the purchase conditions for top up, profile reuse and refund rules. A second purchase won't automatically extend an existing plan or carry over unused data. The phrase 'no contract' describes a one-off plan, but it does not replace reading the purchase terms. Keep your order details and installation steps for any support request.
