| Country coverage | Norway is the listed country, not a Nordic regional plan. A Norway label does not guarantee service on Svalbard, Jan Mayen or ship networks, so confirm the exact destination before you buy. |
| Local networks | Telenor Norway, ICE Norway |
| Network technology | Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. |
| Data & validity | Allowances run from 1 GB to 50 GB, with validity of 7, 15, 30 or 180 days. There is no 1 day plan, so even a one day visit needs a 7-day minimum. A 15-day plan covers 14 days, or 2 weeks, and 30 days is about one month, not a calendar month. Each is a fixed total, not a monthly subscription. |
| Calls & SMS | Data only. There is no local phone number and no standard voice calls or SMS, so use internet calling and messaging apps instead. |
| Hotspot | The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. |
| Your phone | You need a carrier-unlocked phone that supports eSIM. This virtual sim card installs on compatible phones, so check your exact model and regional variant before buying. |
How it works
Pick a plan, add the eSIM to your phone, then connect once you're in Norway.
01Choose your plan
Choose data and validity that cover your trip. Save the setup instructions for offline access.
02Install before you fly
Install over Wi-Fi using your plan's instructions. Check when the plan's validity starts.
03Connect in Norway
On arrival, turn on the eSIM and select it for mobile data. Keep data roaming off on your regular SIM.
Compare ways to get online in Norway
Use prepaid data on the phone you already carry. This is how PikoeSIM compares with a rental router, home-carrier roaming and a physical SIM.

Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
How do I pick the right Norway eSIM plan?
For plan recommendations, start with trip length. A short city break fits 3 GB over 7 days at €1.61; a stay beyond a week fits 3 GB over 30 days at €1.61. Frequent browsing, photo sharing or hotspot use points to 10 GB over 30 days at €4.92. The 50 GB plan spans 180 days and shares its allowance across the entire period. Buy online and install before you leave.
Does my allowance reset each day?
No. Each offer gives one total allowance for its stated validity, not new gigabytes every morning. Hotspot traffic draws from that same total. Fit the validity to your stay and leave large downloads or cloud backups for Wi-Fi.
What networks does the Norway eSIM connect to?
Listed networks: Telenor Norway, ICE Norway. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Does this work on Svalbard or during a cruise?
The plans name Norway and the Telenor Norway and ICE Norway networks. A country listing does not prove service on Svalbard, Jan Mayen or a vessel at sea. Check those places separately and keep offline reservations for crossings. Other countries are not covered.
How do I know my phone supports eSIM?
Confirm your exact phone model and regional variant supports eSIM and that the device is carrier-unlocked. The eSIM card, a virtual sim card, is installed using a QR code or app from your purchase instructions. On an iPhone, look for Add eSIM under Cellular and No SIM restrictions under Settings, General, About. The compatibility guide links to manufacturer instructions for Android and iOS.
When should I install and activate it?
Install over reliable Wi-Fi and keep the supplied setup instructions to hand. Follow the activation steps that come with your purchase, since installing a profile and starting its validity are not necessarily the same thing. There is no instant installation guarantee, so allow a few minutes over Wi-Fi. Set the travel line for mobile data once you land.
Can I keep my regular number for bank texts?
Your existing messaging account can run over the travel eSIM's internet connection. These data-only plans provide no local phone number and no ordinary calls or SMS. Bank texts still rely on your home SIM, carrier and bank, so check home-carrier charges before leaving that line switched on.
Can I tether a laptop to my phone?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Tethering is one of the plan's standard features, and the laptop and phone draw from one shared allowance. Turn off automatic updates and cloud backups if you want to keep data for bookings and directions.
How do I stop my home SIM using data?
Set the travel eSIM as the data line, switch off automatic data switching and keep data roaming off on the home line. Apply any roaming setting your travel instructions require only to the travel eSIM. Calls and texts on the home line still follow your carrier's terms.
What if I have no internet after installing?
Check that you are in Norway, the line is enabled and chosen for mobile data, and the plan still has data and validity left. Follow the supplied roaming and APN instructions. Toggle airplane mode briefly or restart the phone, then move to another spot if reception is weak. Leave the profile installed while you contact support.
Can I top up or extend the plan?
Check the purchase options and instructions before adding another plan. A new purchase does not automatically extend an existing profile, roll over unused data or confirm top-up eligibility. These are one-off prepaid purchases, so treat any 'no contract' label as a search term and read the purchase terms first. Keep the current profile until the supplied guidance or support says otherwise.
How do I ask for help or a refund?
Have your order reference, device model and installation details ready when you contact support. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase conditions and whether the plan has been activated or used, so read those terms before ordering. Do not delete a profile while a connection issue is under investigation.
