Puerto Rico 5GB eSIM

On a one-week San Juan stay, 1 GB for 7 days at €4.60 covers light messaging and maps when uploads wait for Wi-Fi. The 3 GB plans both cost €13.42, giving you 7 or 15 days, so let your total trip length decide. For a longer visit, 5 GB for 30 days is €22.24; the 10 GB plan runs only 7 days, so if your trip is one month, the 30-day plan is the natural fit. As a rough guide, recommendations split by trip length: a week suits 1 GB, 14 days or 2 weeks suits 3 GB, and a one month stay points to 5 GB for 30 days. There is no one day plan, so even a short stopover buys a week of data. The affordable pick depends on how long you stay, and there is no single best value or best price across every trip type, so compare the features and options before you buy.

Listed networks: Claro Puerto Rico, Liberty. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions. These are the only two operators the plan offers, and real-world service quality depends on your phone's bands and location. We do not claim best coverage beyond what these two networks provide.

Puerto Rico only. The mainland United States and both Virgin Islands territories sit outside these plans, so check separate coverage for every stop beyond the island.

The phone has to support eSIM and be network unlocked, so check your exact model and regional variant against the compatibility guide. On iOS, an iPhone shows No SIM Restrictions under Settings, General, About before you add the travel line; on Android, open Settings, Network & internet, SIMs, then Add SIM or Set up an eSIM.

An eSIM is a virtual SIM card you download as a profile. Install on dependable Wi-Fi and keep the instructions before you leave home, but do not assume instant installation or that installing starts the clock. Installing the profile and starting its validity are not always the same event, so follow the activation steps your plan ships with and choose the travel line for data once you reach the covered destination.

Your existing internet messaging accounts keep working over this data connection, but ordinary calls and SMS are not included. One-time bank codes sent by SMS still run through your regular SIM, your bank and your home carrier, so check for charges before you leave that line switched on.

The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. The data hotspot is the one feature that shares the connection; every device you connect draws from the same fixed allowance, so pause cloud backups and system updates before you start tethering a laptop.

Do not count on continuous reception at sea; terrain, distance from shore, structures and network load all change the signal. Download tickets and route details before departure, and rely on the vessel's own navigation and safety gear for the crossing.

Pick another available plan if you need more. Buying again does not automatically extend the old allowance or roll unused data forward, and top up terms are not confirmed here, so follow the options and installation steps that come with the new purchase.

Confirm you are inside the covered territory, the travel line is turned on and set as the data line, and the plan still has allowance and validity left. Apply the roaming and APN steps the plan provides, then toggle airplane mode or restart the phone. If that fails, contact support with your location, device model and order reference, and leave the profile installed.

Turn off automatic mobile-data switching and keep data roaming off on your regular SIM. Put any required roaming setting only on the travel line; calls and texts on the home line can still carry separate carrier charges.

Read the purchase conditions for support and refund eligibility before you order, and treat no contract as a search phrase rather than a confirmed term. Keep your order reference and installation details when you ask for help. Eligibility can hinge on activation and use, so do not delete the profile while a connection problem is being investigated.
