Spain 5GB eSIM

Match the plan to your travel days and habits rather than grabbing the cheapest price. A 2-week holiday with light tourist use can run on 1 GB over 7 days at €0.33, while 10 GB over 30 days at €4.76 covers a longer vacation with more browsing and maps. The 50 GB plans come in 30- and 180-day versions, and extra days never add data. When comparing plan features and pricing, an affordable plan is one that lasts your whole stay; for recommendations, the best value is the plan with no wasted data, and the best price is the one that fits that need.

Listed networks: Vodafone Spain, Movistar Spain. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions. Treat best coverage claims with care: the operator you actually connect to depends on your phone and location, and signal quality shifts between city streets, buildings and rural roads. When 4G or 5G is available, your phone uses that connection automatically.

Check eSIM support for your exact model and sales region, and confirm the phone is network unlocked. On an iPhone, look for No SIM restrictions under Settings, General, then About. Android devices vary by manufacturer, so follow the compatibility guide for the correct menu; a model name alone does not identify every regional variant. Only compatible phones running iOS or a supported Android version, and unlocked, can install this prepaid plan.

Install over reliable Wi-Fi and save the instructions before you travel. This eSIM card is a virtual sim card you add to your phone, usually by QR code or a carrier app. Follow the activation steps supplied with your purchase: installing the profile and starting its validity may be separate events, and instant installation is not a guarantee of setup speed. Do it online before you leave home rather than at the airport. On arrival, enable the travel line and set it as your data line.

Your messaging account, such as WhatsApp, keeps working over the travel eSIM internet connection. These data-only plans include no local phone number and no standard calls or SMS, so bank verification texts still depend on your home SIM and carrier. Before leaving that line enabled, check its roaming charges.

The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Every connected device draws from the same allowance. Pause cloud backups, app updates and large downloads while tethering if you want to keep data for travel tasks. The data hotspot feature is useful for sharing with family, but streaming YouTube on a laptop burns through the allowance quickly.

Spain is the included country, and Portugal, France, Andorra and Gibraltar are outside it. For the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, confirm the exact destination before relying on service, since the plan information does not list those locations separately. A country plan is not a promise of a signal in every part of the network.

These are fixed data plans, not unlimited plans. The advertised allowance is the total for the chosen validity and includes hotspot use, with no daily reset. A stop of 1 day, or one day plus a buffer, needs only a small plan, but a stay of 14 days, or 2 weeks, needs validity that covers every day of it. 30 days is not the same as one month on a calendar, and this is not a monthly subscription.

Confirm you are in an included location in Spain, that the travel line is enabled and set as your data line, and that the allowance and validity remain. Follow the supplied roaming and APN settings, then briefly toggle airplane mode or restart. If the signal is weak, move elsewhere. Keep the eSIM installed and give your phone model, location and order reference when you ask for help; service quality depends on the operator and your device.

Set the travel eSIM as your data line, switch off automatic data switching and keep roaming off on your home line. If the travel eSIM requires data roaming, enable that only on that line. Calls and texts on your regular SIM can still bring carrier charges, so check them before you travel.

Choose another available plan if you need a different allowance or a longer period. Do not assume a new purchase extends the current plan or carries over unused data, and check the order instructions for any supported top-up or profile reuse. Keep the installed profile until you understand how the next plan works. Compare the offers and options online before you buy, and read the purchase terms rather than assuming a no contract guarantee.

Read the purchase conditions for eligibility and any effect of activation or use on a refund. Keep your order reference and a record of the connection problem when you ask for help, and do not delete the installed profile while the issue is under review.
