| Network technology | Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. |
| Data & validity | 1 GB for 7 days, then 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB and 20 GB options for 30 days. Hotspot sharing is among the features, but these are fixed totals, not unlimited data. |

Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common setup and buying questions.
How do I pick the right Uganda plan?
Compare the prepaid data plans before you choose. The 1 GB plan at €3.49 covers 7 days of light maps and messaging. For a stay past a week, the 30-day options from 3 GB to 20 GB are the best fit. Weigh video calls, YouTube and hotspot or tethering against trip length: streaming burns data far faster than checking bookings. The cheapest plan is only the best value if you won't run out mid-trip, and the per-gigabyte price falls as the allowance grows, so a larger plan can be the best price when you'll actually use it. The eSIM card stores your chosen data plan digitally, so there's no plastic SIM to lose.
Which operator carries the connection?
Listed networks: Airtel/Warid Uganda. Connects to 4G/5G where the network offers it. Speeds and signal vary with your phone, location and network conditions.
Is my phone compatible with the eSIM?
You need a phone that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Verify the exact model and regional variant. On an iPhone, look for Add eSIM in the cellular settings and No SIM restrictions under Settings, General, About; on Android and iOS devices alike, check the maker's compatibility list for your specific model before you buy.
When do I install and start the plan?
Install over steady Wi-Fi before you fly and keep the supplied steps, which may arrive as a QR code or an app link. The activation trigger is not confirmed in advance, so when the validity clock starts depends on the supplied plan instructions. There's no instant installation guarantee, so give yourself time. On arrival, switch on the travel line and set it as the mobile data source.
Can I get calls or bank texts on it?
This is a data-only product, so there's no local phone number and no standard calls or SMS. Apps like WhatsApp can still run over the internet connection. Bank verification texts only arrive on your regular SIM and home carrier, so check that carrier's roaming fees before you leave that line switched on.
Can I hotspot my laptop to it?
The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. The data hotspot feature draws from the same allowance as your phone, and even one day of laptop updates can eat a large chunk, so pause them before sharing the connection.
Will it work past Uganda's borders?
No. These offers list Uganda only. Buy a separate plan for each country you continue into; sharing a network brand or a regional itinerary doesn't stretch this plan's territory.
Does the allowance refresh daily?
No. It's 1 GB over 7 days, or 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB and 20 GB over 30 days. The whole allowance is shared across the validity window and every hotspot device, and nothing carries over past the plan's expiry unless the terms you're sent say otherwise. Thirty days is close to one month but isn't a calendar month. Check the purchase terms to see whether there is no contract and no monthly billing; these are one-off prepaid purchases.
What happens when the data runs out?
Top-up options are not confirmed here, so look at what your order actually offers before banking on a top up or reusing the profile. A new purchase can come with its own install and validity steps, and it won't necessarily extend the old plan or carry leftover data forward.
Why might I have no internet after landing?
Confirm you're in Uganda, the plan still has data and time left, and the eSIM is switched on and chosen for mobile data. Apply any roaming and APN settings that came with the order to that line only. Toggle airplane mode or restart the phone, then test a simple online page somewhere else. Leave the profile installed while you reach out for support.
How do I stop my home SIM from roaming?
Switch off data roaming on your regular SIM and turn off automatic mobile-data switching. Set the travel eSIM as the internet line. Any roaming toggle needed for the travel line applies only to that line; calls and texts on your home number still follow your home carrier's rules.
What do I keep for support or a refund?
Hold onto your order reference, phone model and install details. If there's a connection problem, note your location and any error text. Read the purchase conditions on refunds before you buy, and don't treat installation, activation or leftover data as a refund guarantee.
