Ukraine 5GB eSIM

These prepaid data plans are fixed-total options for tourists on vacation. There is no plan valid for 1 day or 14 days. For a stay of one day, you can choose the 1 GB plan valid for 7 days, which costs €0.27 and covers light message and map checking. A 3 GB plan is offered for 7, 15 or 30 days, so a 3 GB plan for 7 days is available if you need more data. If your trip is about 2 weeks, the 15-day plan fits, and the 30-day plan suits a longer stay of roughly one month, but it is not a monthly subscription. The 10 GB plan for 30 days at €4.32 gives more room for WhatsApp, maps and YouTube, while the 3 GB plans are an affordable middle ground when the allowance matches your trip. Each plan has a fixed total; the best value depends on trip length, and the best price for light use is the 1 GB plan.

The plan works through two operators: Vodafone Ukraine on LTE and KyivStar Ukraine on LTE with 5G where it is offered. A 5G capability on paper does not mean live 5G in the city you visit, and real-world 4G speed and signal quality vary with your phone, location and network load. No plan here claims best coverage; air alerts, blackouts and local outages can cut the connection, so treat mobile data as a convenience rather than an emergency channel.

It is a Ukraine-only plan. The catalog does not confirm service in Crimea or other occupied areas, and it makes no promise about coverage across a land border. Reception also depends on local coverage, outages and your own device.

An eSIM, or virtual SIM card, is built into the phone, so first confirm your exact model and regional variant support it and that the device is carrier-unlocked. On an iPhone, look for Add eSIM under mobile settings and check for 'No SIM Restrictions' in Settings, General, About. For Android phones, use your maker's compatibility guide before buying. iOS and iPhone eSIM support is well documented, but the carrier-unlock check matters for every device, so verify compatible phones before you buy.

Install over reliable Wi-Fi before you travel and keep the supplied steps, including any QR code, offline. Installation and the start of the validity period are separate events, and the trigger depends on your plan's activation instructions, which are not confirmed in the catalog, so instant installation is not a delivery guarantee. Choose the travel line for mobile data when you are ready and apply any roaming or APN setting only where your instructions say so.

You keep your usual SIM and existing messaging accounts. This eSIM is data only, so it gives you no local phone number and no ordinary SMS. One-time bank codes still arrive through your home line, bank and carrier, so check what they charge for roaming. Switch off automatic data switching and data roaming on your home SIM to avoid surprise fees.

The listed networks support hotspot. Any device you connect draws from the same data allowance. Tethering or a data hotspot draws from the same fixed allowance, so a laptop, tablet or another phone all eat into the one total. Video calls and cloud backups burn through data fast, so set automatic updates to Wi-Fi and cap how much you tether.

Check that the plan still has allowance and validity left, that you are in Ukraine and that the eSIM is chosen for mobile data. Follow any APN and roaming instructions that came with it, then try toggling airplane mode or restarting the phone. Blackouts or access restrictions can persist even with correct settings. Leave the profile installed and have your order reference, phone model and location ready if you need support.

Do not assume you can top up or extend: those terms are not confirmed, so read the purchase conditions that come with your order first. Treat 'no contract' as a search term rather than a promise. Buying another plan does not automatically lengthen the installed profile or roll unused data over. Keep your order reference and setup details for any refund or support request.
